The Reds face a tough trip to west London on Saturday afternoon to face an in-form Bees side who remain unbeaten in the top-flight this season under Keith Andrews and currently occupy fourth spot.
Here is all the latest Liverpool injury news and return dates during a busy period for Liverpool, with their game at Brentford followed by four consecutive home fixtures against Villarreal, Brighton, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Dominik Szoboszlai
While Mac Allister ended up starting and playing the full 90 minutes, fellow midfielder Szoboszlai was not involved at all due to what Iraola revealed ahead of kick-off was a tight hamstring caused by an overload which he had tried to push through in training.
The Hungarian international did not travel to Austria in the Champions League, though Iraola is hoping that he could play some part against Brentford, which would be a huge boost with Gravenberch now banned. If not, then 19-year-old Trey Nyoni seems likely to retain his place.
“We have to wait and see. I think it’s still very early but the same way I said they are not available for the previous games, I leave the chance open this time, yes.”
Potential return date: Saturday October 17, vs Brentford (A)

Alexander Isak
Liverpool’s record signing featured only once for Sweden during the international break before returning to Merseyside early with what international boss Graham Potter described as a minor thigh injury.
Like Szoboszlai and Gakpo, he was absent against both City and LASK and his status for the trip to Brentford remains in question.
If he is still out, then 21-year-old Lewis Koumas will likely start again up front after scoring his first Champions League goal in midweek.

Cody Gakpo
Gakpo played twice for the Netherlands in their recent Nations League fixtures, sustaining an early ankle injury against Serbia that necessitated his withdrawal and a return to Liverpool for assessment and treatment.
He was not considered for selection against either City or LASK, while it uncertain at this stage if he will be able to return to the squad that travels to Brentford on Saturday.
But as with Szoboszlai and Isak, Iraola hasn’t ruled him out yet.

Giovanni Leoni
Leoni tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee on debut for Liverpool in the Carabao Cup last September, just weeks after joining the club from Parma in a £26million transfer.
He underwent surgery and has been out for 13 months, with his long-awaited return to training expected during the recent international break.
“It’s taking more time than we wanted,” Iraola said of Leoni’s delayed comeback. “The planning was to train with the team in this past international break [but] probably it’s going to be in the next international break, so we’ve lost one month in the process.
“Giovanni’s injury, I wasn’t here but talking to the medical department, it was not just an ACL – it was a bad injury, a lot of things around the knee were involved apart from the ACL.
“He has to be very confident, the rehab process has to be very careful with him and we want to make sure once he comes to the team, he stays there in a good place.
“It’s true that we’ve had, not a setback, but a little bit of a delay, if you want.
“The plan now is he starts in the next break. It’s not that far but it’s a little bit later than we expected, yes.”
Potential return date: December

Hugo Ekitike
Striker Ekitike ruptured his right Achilles tendon back in April, during the second leg of Liverpool’s high-profile Champions League quarter-final tie against former club Paris Saint-Germain.
He missed the end of last season and the World Cup with France, following claims that he would be sidelined for a period of between nine to 12 months.
Ekitike was surprisingly included in Liverpool’s squad for the league phase of this season’s Champions League, with Iraola hoping that he could potentially return for the final two games in January, against Inter Milan and Lens.
Potential return date: January 2027
Conor Bradley
Right-back Bradley suffered bone and ligament damage to his left knee during a goalless away draw at Arsenal in the Premier League in January.
Summer signing Ronald Araujo has become Iraola’s first-choice option in the position, with Jeremie Frimpong continuing to struggle.
It remains to be seen exactly when Bradley will be in a position to return, with Iraola saying last month that he was not close to training with the team despite beginning to work with a ball during individual sessions.
