Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan has stressed the need for providing continuous training for government employees to facilitate better outcomes.
Speaking at a session on ‘Karmayoga: A practical framework for stress-free working,’ a training programme for officers and students, the Lt. Governor said capacity building was not just about acquiring technical knowledge, understanding rules or learning new technology but about developing the right attitude.
“If your intentions are proper and right, there is no harm in taking out of the box decisions for the larger good of the community. The strength of public administration ultimately lies in its people. When officers work with clarity and commitment, the entire administration benefits,” the Lt. Governor said.
Sunil Bajpai, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry said around 7,500 students and officers have already been imparted training to lead a stress-free administrative career. Training would be provided to around 25,000 students and officers in the days to come, he said.
