Islamabad Capital Territory Police have formally launched the Hajj and Umrah Welfare Scheme 2026 under the special direction of Inspector General of Police Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry.
Under the scheme, five employees will be selected for Hajj and four others for Umrah through a lucky draw.
According to a police official, applications have been invited from eligible personnel, including officers from constable to Deputy Superintendent of Police rank, as part of the department’s welfare measures.
The official said the scheme has been introduced to give police personnel an opportunity to perform religious journeys.
He said interested employees can submit applications through the prescribed procedure, with October 21, 2026 set as the last date for submission.
Applications must be submitted to the SSP Headquarters office before the deadline.
The official said the scheme is part of efforts to support police personnel who perform duties in difficult conditions to protect the lives and property of citizens.
He added that IGP Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has placed special focus on the welfare of police officers and their families to improve support and facilities for serving personnel.
