One Indian citizen was killed and two were injured on Wednesday night, in an attack on the King Fahd International Airport in Saudi Arabia’s Dammam, the Indian embassy in Riyadh said.
The attack killed two persons and injured eight in total, the embassy said on Thursday.
Saudi Arabia has faced near-daily attacks by Yemen’s Houthi militant group this month, including a strike on Riyadh’s international airport that marked the kingdom’s deadliest attack in years.
The attacks mark an escalation in the conflict between the Iran-backed Houthis, who are seeking to topple Yemen’s internationally recognised government, and Saudi Arabia, which backs the government.
An Indian citizen was killed in the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 10.
Meanwhile, the Indian embassy has advised its citizens in Saudi Arabia to follow instructions issued by the local authorities and to take precautions during aerial attacks.
The instructions said that persons receiving an emergency alert should remain calm, follow official directions and immediately move to the nearest safe place inside a building, preferably an interior room away from windows. They were advised to remain indoors until the danger had passed and stay away from open areas, windows, glass, balconies and rooftops.
The Indian community is requested to take note and follow the instructions by Saudi authorities. ⬇️...
