In Singapore, the quest for eternal youth is no longer just a billionaire's fantasy. It's becoming big business. High-tech clinics, longevity labs and specialist companies all promise the same thing: slowing down the ageing process. From continuous metabolic monitoring and genetic testing to supplements and oxygen therapy, every aspect of the body is measured and optimised.
For some, the ambition is clear: to shave 20 years off their biological age and stay fit, sharp and competitive for as long as possible.
The global healthy-ageing market was worth between $19 billion and $20 billion in 2023, and is expected to more than triple by 2035. Singapore may offer a glimpse of what lies ahead: a world where healthcare becomes a subscription service, and where every cell can be measured, improved and even corrected.
