Benjamin Sesko’s absence has forced Michael Carrick to rely on the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha to lead the line.
The Manchester United head coach has been without his first-choice striker since mid September and could be forced to use makeshift options for next few months.
According to The Sun, United fear that striker Benjamin Sesko could be sidelined until the new year.
Sesko was taken off against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup and has since been out of action with a separate issue to the shin injury that plagued him for six months before this season.
“The 23-year-old has been undergoing thorough checks at United’s Carrington training complex and well-placed sources say United are concerned that Sesko faces a spell of up to four months out,” the report states.
