Antonio Nusa (21) provided a goal and assist in RB Leipzig’s 6-0 rout of Eintracht Frankfurt on Matchday 5, taking the Norwegian’s account to five goals and three assists in five Bundesliga games in 2026/27. As a result, he’s earned praise from head coach Martin Demichelis.
“I think Antonio has taken another step forward,” he explained. “I’m really pleased for him. In my opinion, he’s one of the best wingers in Europe right now. But I don’t want to praise him too much. I just hope he keeps playing the way he has been.”
Speaking in Monday’s press conference ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven, Demichelis is expecting another tough encounter.
“PSV are a very interesting side,” added Demichelis. “They like to dominate possession and their style of play is similar to ours. The standard is always high in European competition, so I expect an entertaining game. Playing in front of our fans at the Red Bull Arena always gives us that extra motivation to go out and get the three points.
“The most important thing is that we play our game both in and out of possession, just as we did against Frankfurt. We’ve taken a step forward, but we can’t get carried away. We have to build on that performance. I also expect the players to go out there with complete belief in what we’re doing.”
