SEREMBAN: Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim has declined to elaborate on the viral video which showed Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, having a stern word with him at a Kuala Pilah mosque last Friday.
The Juasseh assemblyman, when met by reporters, only offered a smile and said he was doing well.
"I'm okay. There's nothing to comment," he replied briefly to reporters' questions when met after the launch of the Negri Sembilan Antlers Sepak Takraw team here.
A video showing Tuanku Muhriz having a stern word with Ismail amid the state's constitutional crisis went viral last week.
In the clip, Tuanku Muhriz is heard telling Ismail that he does not want to see him.
The ruler is also heard expressing his dissatisfaction with Ismail and former state executive council members over a letter to the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal stating that he was no longer the state ruler.
Ismail is seen in the clip acknowledging Tuanku Muhriz and paying homage to the ruler.
Meanwhile, Ismail said the state assembly sitting has been set for Nov 26 and remains unchanged, following its postponement on Oct 16.
"As of now, it's still the same. There have been no changes. Preparations are going smoothly," he said.
Last Friday, 11 Negri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan assemblymen had called on the state government to call for the state assembly to be convened.
State opposition chief, J Arul Kumar, said checks at the e-Dewan portal showed that the proceedings were still slated for five days from Oct 16 to 22, 2026.
