Daniel Mullins Games confirmed that Inscryption, the horror card game that first launched five years ago, is now in development for mobile devices. The studio shared the news during a Twitch livestream on October 18, 2026, to mark the game's fifth anniversary.
No release date has been set. The studio also did not say which phones or app stores will get the game first. Fans will need to wait for more updates in the coming months.
What to Expect from the Mobile Version
Inscryption built a loyal fan base by mixing card battles with strange visuals and a story that keeps changing shape. Players sit across from an opponent in a dark cabin and fight with cards tied to different creatures and powers. As the game moves forward, the story breaks away from normal card-game rules and pulls players into deeper mysteries.
The studio says the mobile version will keep this same experience. The goal is to bring the game to more players, not to change what already works.
Alongside the mobile news, the team addressed requests for new content. Many players have asked for extra cards or new modes over the years. Daniel Mullins Games said there are no plans for this right now. The studio considers the story and gameplay finished and wants to protect the game's original feel instead of stretching it out for profit.

Pony Island 2 Takes Priority
The studio's main focus right now is Pony Island 2, the sequel to its 2016 game. That game is set to arrive on Steam on April 27, 2027.
Until then, Inscryption players have no firm timeline for the mobile launch. The studio has promised more details soon, but for now, the only confirmed news is that the game is coming to phones. Fans who have waited five years will likely need a little more patience before they can carry the cabin in their pocket.
