Justin Gaethje continues to put his golf skills to the test.
On Wednesday, the UFC lightweight champion was officially announced as part of the roster for Barstool Sports’ Internet Invitational tournament, which takes place at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale, Mo., beginning on Oct. 26. The tournament field is comprised primarily of pro golfers and influencers, though a handful of names from elsewhere in the sporting world are included such as Gaethje, former NBA player Jason Williams, and Super Bowl champion coach Jon Gruden.
See the announcement below.
The roster is still to be finalized with 64 participants in total, with the players divided into teams. It is not yet known who will be golfing alongside Gaethje.
Returning champions Brad Dalke and Francis Ellis are set to return. The pair won the 2025 Internet Invitational alongside Cody Franke, who died before the series went to air.
Gaethje has posted several golf videos on his YouTube channel and has participated in a number of tournaments, including one organized by octagon rival Max Holloway this past July.
In July 2025, Gaethje participated in a celebrity golf tournament, but failed to finish inside the top 50.
“The Highlight” has plenty of free time on his hands with the expectation that he won’t be defending his title until some time in 2027. A number of potential challengers wait in the wings including Holloway, Ilia Topuria (the man Gaethje beat at UFC White House to become champion), and No. 1 contender Arman Tsarukyan.
