NIZHNY NOVGOROD, October 22. /TASS/. Moscow expects that the American side will analyze what it heard at yesterday’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg and convey the message to those who are reluctant to embrace a Ukraine settlement, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told reporters on Thursday.
"[Russia hopes] that they (US representatives - TASS) will analyze thoroughly, attentively and deeply what they heard directly from the [Russian] president in the Constantine Palace," the senior Russian diplomat said.
It is equally important, Ryabkov continued, that "these signals be driven home to those who are still reluctant to move toward resolving [the Ukraine conflict] and cherish not just illusions but the gravest internal misconceptions regarding the idea that they can impose schemes and approaches that Russia resolutely rejects as broadly unacceptable."
