A local court in Lahore has granted bail to Ghulam Mustafa, who was arrested in connection with an assault on a woman riding a scooter on Mazang Road.
The case was heard by a judicial magistrate; police requested that the accused be sent to jail on judicial remand.
However, the court rejected the police request and approved Mustafa’s bail, ordering his release against surety bonds worth Rs.100,000.
The court directed that he be released if he was not wanted in any other case.
Mazang police had registered a case against Mustafa over allegations that he assaulted the woman while she was riding a scooter.
