San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans is dealing with an injury in the first half of the Week 6 game against the Washington Commanders.
Evans came down with his injury in the second quarter. Evans came up hobbled after making a catch and immediately went into the tunnel afterwards.
Prior to his injury, Evans, who entered the game dealing with ribs and an Achilles injury that had him questionable to play, recorded three catches for 94 yards.

Mike Evans injury updates
UPDATE: Evans has now gone back to the locker room, which is a bad sign for his chances of returning to the game. He appeared to be grabbing at his ankle area.
Here’s the play in which Evans got hurt.

We’re still waiting for an update from the team, but as we said, with the half about to end, that may not come for a bit.
That update will be right here once it’s available.
END OF UPDATE
As we noted, Evans has gone to the tunnel and is getting checked out there. We are about to enter halftime, so we may not get another update on Evans until the third quarter.
We’ll update this page once more information is known.

Impact of Mike Evans’ injury

Evans is the Niners’ No. 1 wide receiver, so it goes without saying how crucial it is for him to stay in this game or, at the very least, not miss any time after this contest.
The Niners are already short-handed at the position, with Ricky Pearsall out for the season and Deebo Samuel ruled out due to an injury. They also have Christian Kirk on the shelf, although he’s inching closer to his return from injured reserve.
San Francisco is now relying on guys like Jordan Watkins, Malik Turner, Jacob Cowing and Brandin Cooks. Not exactly an inspiring group.
