Artificial Intelligence developers Vivox AI and beSirius announced Thursday a partnership that they said will bring supplier evidence assessments alongside financial crime checks, helping industrial businesses reduce the time and cost of reviewing suppliers and counterparties.
The partnership, the developers said, is relevant to companies across the metals and minerals value chain, from mining and refining to trading and manufacturing.
Mining companies, traders and manufacturers routinely ask suppliers for evidence about their operations, and compliance teams also need to understand ownership structures and whether they are exposed to sanctions or other financial crime risks.
These reviews often happen separately, with information requests getting repeated, while staff spend time searching through records and following up on unanswered questions.
beSirius AI assesses existing operational and supplier evidence against industry standards and company requirements, identifying gaps and producing source-linked assessments, the company said.
It supports certification readiness, supplier assessments and continuous assurance, helping companies track corrective actions and address critical risks across operations.
Vivox AI said it brings specialist financial crime screening to supplier and counterparty reviews. Its explainable AI agents examine sanctions alerts and adverse media, investigate complex ownership structures and help identify the people who ultimately control a business.
They draw, the company said, on corporate records and other sources, keeping an audit trail of the information behind each finding. Vivox AI also helps compliance teams work through potential false positives, cutting time spent on manual research and alert reviews.
The partnership is designed to let teams consider these findings together when reviewing a supplier. beSirius shows which claims have supporting documents and what still needs checking, while Vivox AI shows whether the supplier’s ownership or screening results call for further investigation.
“Investigating a company’s ownership can take considerable time, especially when several entities and jurisdictions are involved,” Vivox AI CEO Tim Khamzin said in a news release.
“Our agents help compliance teams work through that information and check the sources behind the findings,” Khamzin said. “Working with beSirius means those checks can be considered alongside the evidence companies already review when assessing suppliers.”
“Companies often have the documents they need, but finding them and checking them against another set of requirements takes time and money,” added beSirius chief commercial officer Sergey Tyan. “beSirius uses that existing evidence to prepare assessments that teams can review. Vivox AI brings financial crime expertise to the same supplier questions, including ownership and sanctions risk.”
For Vivox AI, the partnership brings its experience in financial crime checks for regulated businesses into industrial supply chains. beSirius contributes its work with assurance requirements and evidence across the metals and minerals sector. Their findings address different parts of a supplier review.
The aim, the partners said, is to make those reviews less costly and time-consuming. Companies can reuse evidence rather than collecting the same documents repeatedly, while Vivox AI handles parts of the screening research that would otherwise be done manually. Procurement and compliance teams still review the findings and decide which questions need follow-up.
