Gunners eyeing Kim? (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae has had a nice season so far and could be a big target for any club experiencing injury issues leading into the January transfer window. As it turns out, Arsenal could be in the market following the injury to Piero Hincapié:
✅It is TRUE: Min-jae Kim is officially on Arsenal’s list. I’ve had this news confirmed. It’s partly because of the injury to Piero Hincapié. Also, the scouting chief, Maurizio Micheli, is the same one who discovered the South Korean during his time at Napoli. Now, he works for Arsenal, which is why he has the centre-back on his radar. They are looking for a potential defensive signing for the winter, so perhaps Kim could be sold with the right offer. We have to see what happens!
It seems unlikely that Bayern Munich would compromise its depth for a sale of Kim that likely would not bring enough money back in return. While Hiroki Itō is still on Bayern Munich’s roster, the club does not seem to trust him as much as it does Kim.
As for Kim, it remains doubtful that he would want to leave Bavaria at this stage.
Anyway, Falk would check back in with Sport Bild colleague Julian Agardi (via @iMiaSanMia), reporting that a January move for Kim is unrealistic:
Maurizio Micheli, head of scouting at Arsenal, brought the name of Kim Min-jae on the table for the Premier League champions. Micheli was behind Kim’s move to Napoli when he was working for the Serie A side. Bayern are set to hold talks with Kim over his future (contract until 2028). A January move is unlikely/unrealistic.
Gunners, Villa eyeing Nusa (ESPN)
Arsenal and Aston Villa are both taking a look at RB Leipzig attacker Antonio Nusa per this report:
Arsenal and Aston Villa hold an advantage over Newcastle United in the pursuit of RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa due to offering Champions League football, according to Football Insider. All three clubs are tracking the 21-year-old Norway international after his impressive start to the season saw him bag seven goal contributions in seven appearances.
Moore eager for match-up with idol and maybe to get a shirt, too (Spurs-Web)
Tottenham Hotspur winger Mikey Moore is on loan at FC Köln and wants to take full advantage of his opportunity to face off with Harry Kane in November.
The Tottenham academy graduate has now confirmed he received loan offers from England, but admitted he was keen to get out of his comfort zone and challenge himself.
“I had options to stay in England and maybe stay somewhere a little more comfortable. But the conversations came down to me picking a team, and I wanted to take myself a little bit out of my comfort zone to test myself in a big league and one of the top five leagues,” Moore told BBC Sport. “When we were speaking, everyone said they thought it would be a really good experience for me to experience this type of football. It’s really intense, and there are some great teams in the league. For me, it was a no-brainer. I made the decision early that I wanted to come out here, and now I just need to push on.”
The move allowed Moore the chance to play against one of his idols, Harry Kane.
“He’s been a massive idol of mine since I was really young. When I first went up to train with the first team under Antonio Conte, Harry Kane was over there, and I’d seen some finishing that I’d never seen anything like again. It will be a great experience to play against him and share a pitch with him. I’m really looking forward to it,” Moore said. “I’ll try my best to get my hands on that shirt. I saw him on the last international break, actually, and went and said hello. If I see him on the next one, if we’re in the same place, I’m definitely going to say to him, ‘Give me that shirt when we next play.’ Hopefully, I’ll be coming back to Koln with that in my hand.”
Vinícius Júnior wants protection (Fabrizio Romano)
Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior thinks that he does not get enough protection:
🚨 Vini Jr: “I feel like defenders can always kick me, yet I am the one who gets booked.”
“I think we need to protect players who can make a difference like me, Lamine Yamal and Julián Álvarez…”
Bayern chasing Koundé (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
For those of you who were excited by the rumors of Bayern Munich having interest in FC Barcelona right-back Jules Koundé, that move is not likely to happen per Christian Falk:
❌It is NOT TRUE: Bayern Munich are considering a January transfer for Barcelona’s Jules Koundé. FC Bayern did try to sign the defender before he made the move to La Liga. He’s still an interesting player for the club, but not one they’ll look to actively pursue in the winter. The Frenchman’s also expensive, even if Barcelona were prepared to sell him. Bayern Munich won’t go for him right now, particularly while they continue to have an excellent option currently available in the form of Konrad Laimer who, by the way, had an excellent game against Viking on Tuesday night. The Austrian won the penalty and provided the assist for Luis Diaz that put Bayern Munich in the lead. So, the club won’t buy a player in the range of €80m-90m [£67.6m-76.1m] in the winter.
