If there's one place Zara Tindall's style shines, it's on the racecourse. The horse-loving royal headed to the Ascot racecourse in Berkshire on Saturday, taking her seat in the Royal Box.
The mother-of-three looked resplendent in a fabulous new outfit as she watched races which were part of the British Champions Day. Zara has been known to opt for bright colours when she frequents race days, but her latest look was a bold turnaround, opting for autumnal muted browns with a smattering of heritage check..

The 45-year-old donned the 'Sybil' blazer from Fairfax & Favor, which she layered over a white pussy-bow blouse. We love her mix of textures; the royal added a smart leather skirt in a hazelnut brown and slouchy suede boots. Giving some shape to her close-fitting look, she added a waist-defining belt, also by Fairfax & Favor.

Looking pristine, the daughter of Princess Anne wore her trademark blonde hair swept back into a chic chignon with loose tendrils framing her face, and donned diamond-shaped earrings that added a touch of sparkle to her preppy ensemble.

As always, her handbag game was strong, and she carried a coordinating dark brown top-handled design.

Zara is a non-working royal, so she doesn't have to adhere to the same beauty rules the likes of Queen Camilla and Princess Catherine do. Working royals are encouraged to sport natural-looking nails, as louder tones are seen as a distraction from official handshakes. The late Queen Elizabeth II famously only ever wore the soft, muted pink shade 'Ballet Slippers' by Essie, and Princess Kate often doesn't wear any polish at all, embracing the 'naked' nails trend.
