Alexander Volkanovski proved age is just a number earlier today (Sat., Oct. 24, 2026) at UFC 333 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, as the 38-year-old champion defended his UFC featherweight title against previously undefeated contender Movsar Evloev with a second-round TKO (punches).
As expected, Evloev threatened with his wrestling early on, but Volkanovski showcased the elite-level takedown defense we’ve seen from him before. This essentially turned the main event clash into a war of striking and that instantly favored Volkanovski. Evloev showed improvements in his standup, but Volkanovski’s shot selection, volume, and constant forward movement were incredible to see.
The champion’s efforts paid off in the second round when he had Evloev backing up along the cage and landed a nasty right hand. It connected flush and left Evloev in a tizzy. Volkanovski immediately rushed in to land heavy punches from top position to force the referee’s hand with seconds left in the round. It was Volkanovski’s first finish since a TKO win over Yair Rodriguez over three years ago.
