The President of the Moroccan Government, Fatima Ezzahra El-Mansouri, stated that the issue of the Moroccan Sahara and the defense of the Kingdom’s territorial integrity remain the top national priorities, and she emphasized the continuation of diplomatic efforts to defend Morocco’s sovereignty and interests, as well as to strengthen international support for the autonomy initiative under Moroccan sovereignty.
While presenting the government program to Parliament on Monday, October 19, El Mansouri explained that the government will continue to mobilize international support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative, while accelerating the development of the southern regions and strengthening their strategic role as the Kingdom’s gateway to inland Africa and the Atlantic region.
In this context, he recalled Security Council Resolution No. 2797, adopted on October 31, 2025, describing it as a decisive milestone in the process of a political resolution to the conflict and underscoring the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts to consolidate Morocco’s position.
Regarding the Palestinian issue, Al-Mansouri reiterated the government’s commitment to the Kingdom’s stance in defense of the rights of the Palestinian people and to a peaceful solution based on the two-state solution, which guarantees the achievement of a just and lasting peace, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, while also highlighting the place that the holy city of Jerusalem holds among Morocco’s priorities.
Al-Mansouri emphasized the need to translate the government’s commitments into viable programs and tangible results, thereby strengthening confidence in the government’s work and ensuring that the Kingdom’s strategic guidelines are reflected on the ground.
