Huawei has revealed new details, including the chipset, about its upcoming Pura 90 Plus after live images of the smartphone appeared online ahead of its official launch. The images show the phone’s design and confirm several key specifications, including its chipset, RAM, display resolution, and operating system.
Huawei confirmed the Pura 90 Plus on October 25 and opened pre-orders in China. The smartphone is scheduled to launch on October 28, when the company is expected to announce its remaining specifications and pricing.
Huawei Pura 90 Plus Live Images Reveal Kirin 9025 Chipset Ahead of Launch
According to images shared online, the Pura 90 Plus runs on Huawei’s new Kirin 9025 chipset. The phone’s About section also lists 12GB of RAM, a display resolution of 2848 x 1276 pixels, and HarmonyOS 7. The device carries the model number LCI-AL00.
The Pura 90 Plus will be the first smartphone to feature the Kirin 9025 processor. According to an earlier leak, the new chipset could be an overclocked version of the Kirin 9020.
A separate tipster claims that the Kirin 9025 delivers around 19% better overall performance than the Pura 80 Pro, which uses the Kirin 9020. The source also suggests that its performance could be comparable to the Kirin 9030S processor found in the Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max.
However, these performance claims have not been independently verified. Benchmark results will provide a clearer picture of the chipset’s capabilities after the phone launches.

Curved OLED Display and Premium Design
The Huawei Pura 90 Plus is reportedly equipped with a 6.8-inch curved LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This combination should provide smooth scrolling and a high-quality viewing experience.
The live images also reveal curved sides and a triangular camera module on the back. The phone is shown in Sunset Purple, one of the four confirmed color options.
Huawei has announced that the handset will be available in Dawn Gold, Obsidian Black, Sunset Purple, and Snowy White. Buyers will also have three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, all paired with 12GB of RAM.

50MP Main Camera With Variable Aperture
Camera capabilities could be another major highlight of the Pura 90 Plus. An earlier leak suggested that the phone would feature a 50MP main camera with a large 1-inch-type sensor and RYYB technology.
The camera is also expected to support a variable aperture, allowing it to adjust the amount of light entering the lens according to shooting conditions. This could help users capture better photos in different lighting environments.
Huawei has not yet officially confirmed these camera specifications, so more details should emerge at the launch event.
Huawei Pura 90 Plus Launch Date and Expected Price
The upcoming smartphone shares several reported specifications with the Huawei Pura 80 Pro, including a 6.8-inch display and a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch-type sensor and variable aperture.
However, the new Kirin 9025 chipset could help the Pura 90 Plus deliver improved performance over its predecessor.
Huawei is expected to reveal the full specifications and pricing on October 28 in China. Until then, details about the phone’s actual performance, camera capabilities, and other features remain subject to confirmation.
