Married At First Sight Mzansi Season 3 has come to a close, and not everyone walked away with a happy ending. The two-part reunion special, hosted by Lerato Mvelase, aired on Sunday, 11 October 2026, and brought all four couples back together for one last reckoning after weeks of navigating marriage with strangers.
The season premiered on 5 July 2026, with new episodes airing weekly at 18:00, following four couples matched by a panel of relationship experts who met their partners for the very first time at the altar.
Hlulani and Nompumelelo's explosive reunion
One of the most charged moments of the finale came when Hlulani Ngobeni went head-to-head with Nompumelelo Sobopha, telling her plainly that she had been a terrible wife. He aired frustrations about domestic life, saying she never cooked and that he had resorted to bringing home leftovers from a friend's house. Nompumelelo, however, pushed back, opening up about her history with abuse and explaining that Hlulani had never felt like a safe space for her.
Lesiba Tleane and Matsheliso Maphutse also parted ways, with the two citing a breakdown in communication as the main reason their relationship did not survive beyond the experiment.
The evening took an unexpected turn when Obren Motswane made a sudden exit from the reunion set, leaving his wife Laurinda Mabunda sitting alone in front of the cameras with no explanation from his side.
Esethu and Prince: The Last Couple Standing
Amid all the breakups, Esethu Seku and Prince Masuku were the only couple to leave Season 3 still together. The pair, who opened up about personal secrets during the reunion, chose to continue their relationship despite a significant revelation: Prince is married in real life. Their decision to stay together despite this fact made them one of the more talked-about outcomes of the season finale.
