Police released images of a man they believe threw a bottle at a woman on Northbourne Avenue. Picture by ACT Policing
ACT Policing said about 5.30am on Thursday, October 15, police received reports of a man allegedly harassing multiple women near a fitness studio on Northbourne Avenue.
It is alleged the man chased several women, threatened to follow them into the fitness studio and attempted to kick one woman as she was walking towards the premises, police said.
The man allegedly returned the following morning and about 5.30am police once again received reports of a man matching the description engaging in similar behaviour at the same location.
Police allege the man again chased several women, threatened a female patron and threw a bottle in the direction of a woman as she fled.
Officers attended on both occasions and conducted extensive patrols of the surrounding area but were unable to locate the alleged offender, police said.
Following investigations, police are seeking the public's assistance to identify the man.
Police have released images of the man and have sought the public's assistance to locate him.
He is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a solid build and wavy hair.
He was wearing a grey cap, a red t-shirt over a cream-coloured long-sleeved shirt underneath, black board shorts, and white and brown shoes at the time of the incident, police said.
Anyone who can assist ACT Policing in the matter is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website quoting 8529138. Information can be provided anonymously.
