Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, visited Samarkand’s historic landmarks with Jeanette Rubio, wife of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Mirziyoyeva said she wanted to introduce her guest to the different facets of the ancient city, including its rich history, living traditions and the craftsmanship of Uzbek artisans.
She expressed hope that the visit would leave Jeanette Rubio with warm memories of Uzbekistan and the hospitality of its people.
