There was a question if the November patriotic parades would take place because of the earthquake.
The Minister of Education, Ventura Vega pictured below, defended holding the parades on November 3rd and 4th, considering them dates that represent the pride, identity, and patriotism of Panamanians and declared the nation will not go without a parade!

“It is an honor to our flag and to patriotism, the feeling that drives nations to rise up in the face of adversity,” Vega said, highlighting the significance of these dates for the country.

The minister explained that all educational regions will have the opportunity to celebrate the national holidays, according to their resources.

In the capital, the traditional routes will be available, including the one that passes near the Presidential Palace and the one along Vía España, as was the case last year.

Vega also extended the invitation to citizens and students who have been practicing for weeks, as well as to parents who have supported their children with rehearsals and the preparation of their costumes, to pay homage to the homeland.
