Earlier today, Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry made their first joint outing since moving back to the United Kingdom in late August, and the Duchess of Sussex knew how to subtly salute the country by using one of her strongest weapons: her fashion.
As the pair made a visit to Nottingham, England, this morning, Meghan paid her respects by wearing a cozy fall look in shades of purple, which all came courtesy of British fashion labels. Quite clever.

Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry visit Nottingham, England, on October 15.
Up top, the duchess began with a mahogany turtleneck sweater and a cashmere overcoat from luxury London brand Joseph. She also carried an espresso woven-leather handbag from the house.
Then, for a couple brighter pops, Meghan slipped into a crepe midi pencil skirt in plum from the Fold London, and a pair of burgundy pumps from Jennifer Chamandi, the eponymous brand of the Lebanon-born British banker-turned-shoemaker. Finally, she cinched everything together with a tan leather belt from Marks & Spencer.

This marked the pair’s first joint outing since moving back to the U.K.
As for her accessories, she turned to some of her usual favorites, including her Logan Hollowell ring, and her Cartier Love bracelet and Tank watch, all in gold. These pieces winked to the gold hardware on her belt.
It was a masterful display on how to embrace a monochromatic uniform, while adding just enough variation to keep things interesting. Of course, when it comes to her style, this is a season where Meghan particularly thrives.
Last year, purple emerged as one of the strongest colors of fall, popping up on runways from the likes of Marc Jacobs, Celine, and more. It has since evolved into deeper eggplants and burgundys that have continued to dominate in 2026.
Leave it Meghan to have her finger on the pulse of fashion trends, while also making a nod to her new home country. You can shop her entire look below.
