Almoradi residents can stretch their money further while supporting local shops, restaurants and services through the town’s latest Bono Consumo campaign. The eighth edition runs until November 7, with 60 businesses taking part and more than €330,000 in local spending expected to be generated through the initiative.
Bono Consumo doubles local spending power
Almoradi residents can now double the spending power of their money at local businesses. The town’s eighth Bono Consumo campaign began on Tuesday, October 13.
Running until November 7, the scheme will involve 60 participating businesses and is expected to generate more than €330,000 in local spending.
Residents can choose between €20 and €50 vouchers, which are used against purchases worth at least twice their value. A €20 voucher therefore provides a €20 discount on a purchase of at least €40, while a €50 voucher reduces a minimum €100 purchase by half.
The system effectively allows shoppers to double the value of the money they spend through the vouchers, while ensuring the additional spending remains within participating Almoradi businesses.
Residents must meet eligibility requirements
To qualify, applicants must be aged over 18 and registered as residents of Almoradi, with both requirements met before August 31, 2026.
Participating businesses cover a broad range of sectors, including fashion, footwear, jewellery, food, books, opticians, technology, household goods, beauty, hairdressing, bicycles, bars and restaurants.
The wide variety of participating businesses means the vouchers can be used for everyday purchases as well as shopping, eating out and other local services.
Campaign encourages spending in local businesses
As well as providing savings for residents, the campaign is designed to encourage people to spend their money within Almoradi.
By requiring purchases to be worth at least twice the value of each voucher, the scheme generates additional spending for participating businesses while giving shoppers an immediate discount.
The 60 businesses taking part represent a broad cross-section of the town’s commercial sector, giving residents plenty of choice over where to use their vouchers before the campaign ends on November 7.
Eight campaigns generate €1.5 million in spending
Across its eight editions, Almoradi’s Bono Consumo programme has generated around €1.5 million in spending, largely supported by funding from Alicante Council.
The latest campaign continues that approach by giving residents a direct discount while encouraging purchases at participating businesses in Almoradi.
Residents can obtain their vouchers and check the full list of participating businesses at bonosconsumoalmoradi.es.
