Kramatorsk casualties
The strike on Kyiv’s residential sector follows a sequence of deadly Russian standoff bombardments directed against urban settlements in eastern Ukraine.
In the Donetsk region, Russian tactical aircraft released three FAB-250 high-explosive aerial bombs fitted with universal glide and correction modules (UMPK) against an urban residential sector of Kramatorsk on Friday, Oct. 23.
The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the Friday strikes killed one civilian, wounded six others—including three young children – and damaged at least 27 private residences.
Among the six wounded in Kramatorsk were two women aged 45 and 54, a 47-year-old man, two girls aged 7 and 10, and their one-year-and-10-month-old brother. Medical personnel confirmed that the victims sustained blast trauma, traumatic brain injuries, acoustic concussions, and penetrating shrapnel wounds.
The bombardment in Kramatorsk on Friday followed strikes on the same municipality on Tuesday, Oct. 20, which killed four civilians, including three municipal heating workers executing emergency winterization repairs on the city’s district heating network.
An additional civilian was killed that day in a separate first-person view (FPV) drone attack, while at least six others sustained injuries alongside extensive damage to apartment buildings and educational institutions.
