This week, Maap, the Australian cycling apparel brand, has tapped Bamboo Rose for a PLM solution that integrates workflows and creates improved visibility across the product design process. We also hear from DressX that the tech company has rolled out a new set of AI-powered tools that elevate product discovery.
And lastly, The RealReal has teamed up with Google Cloud to bolster the capabilities of its AI agent.
A new shelf for product discovery?
DressX has introduced a new set of AI commerce analytics tools to help brands better understand how customers shop as more people use artificial intelligence to make buying decisions. With shoppers turning to AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity to ask questions and compare products before visiting a retailer’s website, brands have struggled to track this early stage of discovery.
DressX, co-founded by Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova, want to close this gap by linking AI-driven discovery to real ecommerce results. This lets companies measure the impact of AI just as they do with search engines and social media.
The new product suite includes two main tools: AI Visibility, which tracks what consumers ask on AI platforms and shows where brands and competitors are recommended, and AI Revenue Tracker, which links this discovery to website visits, shopping carts, and completed purchases.
Ivan Zaparovannyi, chief technology officer, said AI answers are now like a new shelf for shoppers to discover products. The analytics suite is available through More Dash Ads. This launch adds to DressX’s other fashion tech products, like Virtual Try-On and AI styling, making AI commerce analytics a key part of today’s ecommerce tools.
The RealReal expands shopping agent capabilities with Google’s help
The RealReal said it is expanding “Ask TRR,” the online retailer’s AI shopping agent built with Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise. It is rolling out to 45 million members after a successful pilot, the company said in a statement adding that Ask TRR marks a significant step in The RealReal’s mission “to make luxury resale more personalized and intuitive in the agentic era.”
“Traditional keyword search was built for retailers selling many units of the same product,” the company said. “At The RealReal, every item is one-of-one: once a piece sells, it’s gone for good, and new inventory arrives every day. Shoppers often know what they want—like a silhouette, an era, or a look for an occasion—but lack the exact designer name or keyword to find it.”
As a result, the company said the right piece can get buried or even be sold before they ever see it. “The expansion of Ask TRR addresses that challenge and advances The RealReal’s work to create a more personalized digital shopping experience for a marketplace defined by unique, single-quantity inventory,” the company noted.
Rati Sahi Levesque, president and CEO of The RealReal, said the platform has changed the way people shop for luxury, “and a new generation is embracing resale as a primary way to discover and express their personal style.”
The CEO said Ask TRR enables precision and specificity “whether you start with a designer name, an occasion, or simply an idea.”
“Working with Google, we’re meeting customers where they are, making it easier for them to find the one-of-a-kind pieces that are perfect for them,” the CEO added.
Maap taps Bamboo Rose for PLM solution
Bamboo Rose, a provider of product development and supply chain management solutions, said Maap, the global cycling apparel brand, is now using the company’s TotalPLM solution.
“By bringing planning, design, product development, sourcing, and order management together on a single AI-native platform, Maap will give its teams a single connected source of truth from concept to production,” Bamboo Rose said in a statement. Use of TotalPLM connects workflows across the product develop process.
“Moving to TotalPLM gives our teams a single source of truth across the product lifecycle. We gain the visibility, accuracy, and automation needed to support Maap’s next phase of growth while giving our teams more time to focus on product innovation,” said Erin Height, chief product officer and project champion at Maap.
Matt Stevens, CEO of Bamboo Rose, said deployment of the solution creates a connected base of operations. “Growth shouldn’t require more spreadsheets or disconnected systems,” the CEO said. “By bringing planning, design, product development, sourcing and operations together in our AI-native TotalPLM platform, Maap is building a connected foundation that gives every team the visibility they need to move faster and scale with confidence.”
