Just a few days after their dominant win against the Atlanta Falcons, the Chicago Bears will face another team trending in the right direction, the New England Patriots. Just like last week, Kyler Gordon and Caleb Williams will lead the Bears to another all-around stellar performance to secure a statement win.
Here is how Week 7 will pan out for Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears:
Caleb Williams will outplay Drake Maye
There have been debates surrounding both Caleb Williams and Drake Maye since they were drafted. Caleb Williams will get his opportunity to prove he is the best quarterback from the 2024 NFL draft class. He will do so by outplaying Drake Maye by a wide margin. Caleb Williams has cracked the code on how to play more efficient football. Against the Patriots, he will throw for 300 yards on 70% completion percentage or better and throw for at least 2 touchdowns. The case for Caleb Williams being a top 5 quarterback in the league will continue to grow after this game.
Rome Odunze will finally have his breakout game
Rome Oduze was not as productive as I anticipated last week, but he made some big catches. His biggest flaw since joining the Chicago Bears is his drop issues. The return of Caleb Williams just may have given him the confidence needed to be the playmaker he is supposed to be. This week's game, it will all come together for him. Rome Odunze will go off for 10 catches and 100 yards against the Patriots. The Patriots will plan and strategize to take Luther Burden out of the game. That will bode well for Odunze to go off.
Colston Loveland will go over 100 yards receiving in this game
Colston Loveland took a step in the right direction last week. He had 65 yards and a touchdown. In Thursday's game, he will take his production up a notch. Last season, he was a second-half player and became the Bears' best weapon for Caleb Williams down the stretch. This season, it looks like he is on that same course. His stretch of productive games will kick off officially this week as he will go over 100 yards receiving and find the end zone against the Patriots. Nobody on the Patriots' defense can hang with Loveland's skill set. Caleb and Loveland's connection will be alive and well in this week's game.
Kyler Gordon stacks another elite performance
Kyler Gordon, in 16 snaps, was the best player on the football field. Coming into this game, corner Christian Gonzalez will be looked at as the best defender in this game. Kyler Gordon will show up against Gonzalez and outproduce him by a wide margin. Gordon's snaps will increase, and he will finish the game with an interception and a sack. Dennis Allen and Gordon will quickly become an unstoppable player and coach duo.
The Chicago Bears will dominate on primetime
The Bears enter this game at 4-2, and the Patriots are on a 3-game winning streak. This will be a battle of 2 teams that are clicking on all cylinders. The Bears will prove to be the team that will be in contention for a Super Bowl this season by winning in commanding fashion. Caleb Williams and the offense will get the best of a good defense, and the defense will show up on primetime. The San Francisco 49ers and the Minnesota Vikings have both been viewed as the top teams in the NFC; after this win, the Chicago Bears will join those ranks.
