Smart wearable technology has reached local shores as EssilorLuxottica and Meta officially introduce the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta collections across Malaysia
Combining classic frame designs with hands-free photography, direction-based audio, and integrated artificial intelligence, the launch marks a shift in how everyday accessories blend personal style with digital functionality.
The new Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) range pairs classic frame shapes with hardware refinements. Offered in Wayfarer, Aviator, and Zena styles, the collection features a slimmer profile and improved ergonomics for extended daily wear.
The new frames pack a lot of nifty features
The frames feature a built-in 3K Ultra HD camera, enabling wearers to record videos and take photos without using a smartphone.
A six-microphone array records spatial audio, while a frame-mounted button provides immediate access to Meta AI. Users can ask the assistant to evaluate their immediate surroundings, locate nearby establishments, or translate spoken conversations in real time.
The glasses deliver up to nine hours of battery life on a single charge and feature flexible temple tips for a more precise fit.
