PUTRAJAYA: The terms of reference for a special task force investigating allegations of a corporate mafia will be presented at next week’s Cabinet meeting, Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said.
He said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had reiterated that the findings of the investigation would be made public within three months of the probe being completed.

“The terms of reference for the special task force that will investigate the allegations concerning the corporate mafia will be presented at next week’s Cabinet meeting,” he added.
Fahmi, who is also the government spokesperson, said the task force was expected to investigate the allegations, with its terms of reference to be tabled before the Cabinet next week.
Earlier this week, Anwar disclosed that RM37.53 billion in funds had been seized by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in investigations into alleged corporate mafia activities.
He assured the public that the government would not protect anyone involved in the alleged activities, adding that a full investigation report would be made public within three months.
He said a special task force led by the Attorney-General had been established to coordinate investigations involving several enforcement agencies, including the MACC, Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), BNM, Inland Revenue Board (LHDN), Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) and the team responsible for enforcing the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA).
Anwar said the report must be made public to ensure transparency and dispel concerns that certain parties were being protected.
“This report is not merely for civil servants or the government. I want it to be made public.
“If there is evidence, disclose it, regardless of who is involved. For instance, the names mentioned earlier were (Tan Sri) Azam Baki, (Datuk Seri) Farhash Wafa Salvado and Victor Chin,” he said during Tuesday’s Minister’s Question Time in the Dewan Rakyat.
