By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A 27 year old self employed woman of Smithsonia Street, Orange Walk Town, has been charged with traffic offences.
She is Amilet Patricia Mendez.
Police say officers on mobile patrol on Staines Alley around 5:00pm on Monday, October 12, noticed a black Toyota RAV4 SUV without a licence plate displayed.
When officers stopped the vehicle and asked for the driver’s licence and the plate, Mendez allegedly showed them the licence plate but said she does not own a driver’s licence.
Officers also found that there was no insurance sticker on the vehicle, and she could not provide one.
Mendez was charged with driving without a valid driver’s licence and using a motor vehicle without third party risk insurance. The SUV was impounded.
