South African National Parks (SANParks) announced an increase entry prices to all its parks as of Sunday, 1 November 2026.
Here’s how much it cost you to visit the West Coast National Park from next month.
THE SCENIC WEST COAST NATIONAL PARK
The West Coast National Park is one of the Western Cape’s hidden gems, located near the town of Langebaan.
It’s a drive of around one and a half hours from Cape Town.
The national park is popular for its birdlife and turquiose lagoon, wildflowers and more.
Visitors planning to visit this park will pay a new entrance fee as of Sunday, 1 November as SANParks introduces its new conservation fee for the 2026/2027 financial year.
The new fee applies until 31 October 2027.
Here’s how much you’ll pay
The West Coast National Park is slightly more expensive to enter during flower season as visitors get to it’s famous wildflower displays.
This period runs from 1 August to 30 September.
- South African residents – R85 per adult and R43 per child outside of flower season. R127 per adult and R63 per child during flower season.
- Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries – R141 per adult and R70 per child outside of flower season. R206 per adult and R102 per child during flower season.
- International visitors – R166 per adult and R83 per child outside of flower season. R354 per adult and R176 per child during flower season.

HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST TO TAKE A FAMILY OF FOUR TO THE PARK?
For a South African family of four, with two adults and two children outside of flower season totals to R256.
During flower season, the same family will pay R380.
International families have a much higher cost.
Two adults and two children visiting outside flower season will pay R498, which will increase to R1 056 during flower season.
