As the news of Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders signing with the Young Money APAA sports agency came out on Wednesday, there has been a lot of discourse surrounding the signal caller’s future with his current franchise.
While Sanders was self-represented throughout his collegiate career and the NFL draft, the timing of his signing with Young Money has prompted ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler to think that Sanders may be looking for a new NFL destination.
On ESPN Cleveland’s “The Really Big Show” on Thursday, Fowleropined that Sanders’ recent union with a sports agency on the face value makes it look like he is looking for a way out of Cleveland. However, the senior reporter also emphasized that the team doesn’t think that Sanders is getting an agent to move bases.
“My first reaction is he’s looking at his options. Now I did ask around a bit on that. I do not sense that the Browns think that he’s getting an agent to request a trade. I don’t think that is in play,” Fowler stated (0:00).
“But as it is told to me, Shedeur Sanders is going with the Young Money Agency which has close ties to Colorado. Travis Hunter’s with them. There’s a clear connection there and it’s just good to have an agent. So until proven otherwise and it’s clear that Shedeur wants out of there, I haven’t gotten any indication of that,” he further elaborated (0:23)
While it remains to be seen if Sanders signing with a new agent results in a move to a new franchise, a lot of teams would be in the fray to sign a quarterback of his potential.
Has Shedeur Sanders Started For the Cleveland Browns This Season?
Part of the reason why the NFL fraternity is linking Shedeur Sanders’ new agency signing with the Young Money APAA sports agency to a potential move out of Cleveland is his game time for the franchise this season.
Before the start of the 2026 NFL campaign, there was a lot of chatter around who will be named as Cleveland’s starting quarterback. As that designation eventually went to Deshaun Watson, Sanders is yet to make a start for the Browns this season, as the second-string quarterback has just completed one pass against the Carolina Panthers so far this season in his side’s Week 3 21-18 win.
As the Browns currently sit second in the AFC North standings with an overall record of 3-2, it remains to be seen if Shedeur gets his much-awaited start in the games to come.
