Robert Kiyosaki argues that artificial intelligence is challenging the traditional route from education to secure employment. The Rich Dad Poor Dad author warns the disruption could form part of one of history’s greatest economic resets.
Key Takeaways

Robert Kiyosaki Questions the Promise of a High-Paying Job
Artificial intelligence could undermine the job security associated with advanced education, author and financial educator Robert Kiyosaki warned. In an Oct. 21 warning about AI and job security on X, he questioned whether familiar career guidance still prepares people for technological change.
Kiyosaki challenged advice that has shaped education and employment decisions for generations, asking whether it remains useful as AI advances. Questioning whether AI is making the following career advice obsolete, he wrote:
“Go to school, get good grades, so you can get a high paying job!”
He defined a reset as a change in which methods that worked previously will no longer work in the future. To illustrate that transition, he compared AI with cars replacing horses and Amazon disrupting shopping malls. Doctors, lawyers, and accountants were among the professions he characterized as already facing replacement by the technology.
Princeton Job Search Highlights Pressure on Graduates
A Princeton graduate’s prolonged search for employment supplied the example Kiyosaki used to question the relationship between advanced education and opportunity. The Wall Street Journal’s account of the graduate’s search described more than 2,300 applications by Jack Weis, who earned a chemical engineering doctorate in 2024.
The Journal detailed applications spanning corporate science, postdoctoral fellowships, software engineering, and food preparation, alongside temporary work training AI. Kiyosaki attributed most employers’ decisions to AI replacing highly educated staff.
The famous author’s latest position extends his earlier warning about AI replacing employees while creating opportunities for business owners. In February, he argued that entrepreneurs could use the technology to increase their wealth as workers faced displacement. That distinction places ownership and adaptability at the center of his economic outlook.
Economic Reset Argument Extends Beyond Employment
Independent judgment also features in Kiyosaki’s emphasis on financial education over financial advice during an Oct. 7 Rich Dad Radio Show discussion. He encouraged followers to develop the knowledge to evaluate opportunities for themselves, a position echoed in his latest invitation to question his views.
His broader economic crash warning has linked AI speculation with debt, conflict, and population aging. Those concerns extend his argument beyond employment to the financial pressures facing savers and investors.
The renowned author’s preferred holdings include businesses, income-producing property, gold, silver, and bitcoin, a digital currency that operates through a decentralized network. He has presented that mix as his approach to preparing for financial disruption.
In July, Kiyosaki described how he would start over financially if he lost everything and had only $10,000 left. His hypothetical $10,000 rebuilding plan began with paying for financial education and mentorship before buying investments. He would then develop skills in sales, marketing, and communication.
