Heavy rain and snowfall forced authorities to close Babusar Top Road at Gati Das in Mansehra on Tuesday, as a cold wave gripped the area.
Shahrah-e-Mansehra was also temporarily closed to all traffic from Zero Point Gilgit.
The district administration said roads leading to Kaghan and Naran valleys remain open, while traffic on the closed routes will resume once the snowfall stops.
The closures come as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and upper and central Punjab on Tuesday, with isolated hailstorms also likely.
In its October 12 forecast, the PMD predicted partly cloudy weather in the upper parts of the country and dry conditions elsewhere.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain and thunderstorms are expected at isolated places, including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Kohat, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Khyber, Orakzai, Kurram, Parachinar, Hangu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan.
The PMD also forecast isolated hailstorms in the province.
