After spending the first six weeks of the season on the Commissioner's Exempt List, including this week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs will be removed from the list, making him eligible for the Packers' Week 7 game against the Detroit Lions. This does not prevent the league from taking further action against Jacobs when its investigation concludes.

Without Jacobs in the lineup, Green Bay has had the NFL's worst run game. They have only 302 rushing yards and didn't score a rushing touchdown until Week 5against the Chicago Bears. The Packers have yet to have at least 90 rushing yards in a game.
Last season, when Jacobs started every game, the team ranked in the middle of the pack in rushing yards and finished with 18 rushing touchdowns. Jacobs was just 71 yards shy of his fifth 1,000-yard rushing season.
Despite having the league's worst run game this season, the Packers are 3-2 heading into their Sunday night matchup against the Cowboys. With the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings on bye, Green Bay would like a win to move ahead of Detroit and keep pace with the undefeated Vikings.
