Andoni Iraola has only lost one game as Liverpool's head coach so far.
And, while that may seem like a solid record, the way that Liverpool have managed to win games has been rather lucky.
They've barely scored any goals but, because their defence has been fairly solid, they've managed to scrape the odd three points here and there.
At the moment, they're not in contention for the title but, if they can iron out the problems that they're facing and potentially add some new talent to their ranks in January, they could be well on their way to the top of the Premier League table.
Jeremie Frimpong's new injury highlights Liverpool's need for a new right-back
Last term, Liverpool's right-back was a major problem for them.
So much so, that both Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai had to do extended stints as full-backs.
And, while the midfielders performances were surprisingly impressive, they weren't full-time solutions.
So, that's what led to Ronald Araujo being brought in. The Uruguayan had done a stellar job during his time at Anfield but, with all the injuries that have been occurring, it's now clear that a new right-back should be one of Liverpool's main priorities.
Several different players have been mentioned as potential options and, even though Conor Bradley could return and get straight back to his best, it's unclear how he's going to perform after his return from injury.
And, while Frimpong was brought in last summer to try and help fill the void left by Trent Alexander-Arnold, his injuries are clearly impacting his ability to make a difference, which, for a team who want to be competing for silverware every season, is far from ideal.
So, that's why, in January, a new right-back may have just moved to the top of Liverpool's priority list.
Liverpool must figure out who their first signing is going to be
Ahead of the January transfer window, Liverpool's fanbase are expecting at least one or two new players to be welcomed through the Anfield doors.
There are still several areas among their ranks that need upgrading and, if Iraola and Julian Ward choose to ignore them, they'll end up digging themselves into a rather deep hole that they wont be able to get out of.
Obviously, this isn't exactly ideal for the Reds which is why Iraola can't ignore how desperately Liverpool need a new right-back.
However, with Liverpool's midfield and left-back another two major issues that they need to rectify, they're going to have to make sure that every transfer they complete is worthwhile.
If they don't, they could end up spending money on players who won't improve things which, would just be a waste of time for everyone.
Here's hoping that, as we get closer to the January transfer window, more clarity is shared about Liverpool's plans.
