Jalen Hurts’ health issues are truly scary, and NBA champion Karl-Anthony Towns addressed it on social media in his own way.
After the extent of Jalen Hurts’ blood clot issues became apparent, the entire NFL world has been quite concerned about the Philadelphia Eagles superstar and his health. The quarterback was initially diagnosed with a superficial clot and played against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it turns out the situation is far more serious.
Further tests revealed deep vein thrombosis and blood clots in both lungs, ruling him out for the rest of the season as he begins his treatment. This is the sort of health issue which can end an athlete’s career. During this tough time for Hurts, Karl-Anthony Towns has shared a simple message for him on social media.
Karl-Anthony Towns is praying for Jalen Hurts after his health issues came to light
KAT is an NBA champion now, coming off his best season ever, but he has always been one to support other athletes when they are going through tough times. Despite being incredibly durable in his younger days, Towns himself has dealt with some injury woes in recent years.
A serious right calf strain cost him 52 games in 2022-23, before a torn meniscus in his left knee in 2024 created more problems. During this time of serious turmoil for Hurts, the Knicks star is keeping the Philly man in his prayers.
“Prayers up for Jalen Hurts,” was the simple message that KAT shared with his followers on Monday in a post on X. Hurts’ issues are similar to what ended Chris Bosh’s career, so an NBA player like Towns will know how serious the situation is.
Whatever the case may be, this is another example of how much people, not just football fans, want to see Hurts recovered and back to doing what he does best. Failing that, the consensus seems to be that if he can stay in good health, then that will be the answer to a lot of people’s prayers, including KAT’s.
