Key personnel leading Daewoo E&C's business in Vietnam visited the Korean headquarters to directly experience advanced construction technology and corporate culture.
Daewoo E&C conducted a headquarters training program for 10 outstanding employees belonging to its local corporate entities in Vietnam for six days from Sep. 28 to Oct. 3. The participants of this training were selected by comprehensively evaluating factors such as long-term service, loyalty to the company, and work performance among employees working at four corporate entities in Vietnam. The program was designed so that practical know-how in major business areas, including land compensation, construction management, and pre-sales, could be applied to local operations.
The training group visited the Daewoo E&C headquarters and technology research institute to examine the company's major business systems and research and development status. In particular, at the wind tunnel laboratory of the technology research institute, they listened to explanations from researchers and confirmed the core construction technologies possessed by Daewoo E&C. Following this, they visited the 'Prugio Radius Park' construction site located in Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, to directly inspect the housing construction process and efficient site operation methods.
The schedule to enhance understanding of residential products continued with a visit to a model house. At the 'Hangang Prugio Riverfront' model house, the participants experienced the development direction of residential products pursued by Daewoo E&C, such as the latest floor plan designs, interiors, landscaping, and community facilities. In addition, they took time to broaden their understanding of Korean society by touring major cultural and tourist sites in Korea.
Through this program, Daewoo E&C plans to create a virtuous cycle that enhances the sense of belonging among overseas local employees and strengthens exchanges with the headquarters. The intention is to develop it into a global talent development system that discovers and nurtures key local talents, rather than simply ending as a one-time reward.
A Daewoo E&C official explained that securing outstanding talents well-versed in the local market and culture is essential for the continuous growth of overseas business.
