The Oklahoma City Thunder held practice on Sunday, Oct. 18. Only two days remain until they're part of Opening Night as they travel to face the San Antonio Spurs. Both teams are entering the 2026-27 regular season as universal co-title favorites.
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault and Jared McCain talked to the local media after practice. Daigneault discussed how much Hall-of-Fame coach Billy Donovan will embrace his new gig as a Spurs assistant. Meanwhile, McCain reflected on the Philadelphia 76ers' blockbuster summer.
Chet Holmgren was also spotted as a full participant in practice. Meaning he's likely good to go for Opening Night after he missed all five of OKC's preseason games with a quad contusion.
