Since the start of her acting career, Aisha Khan has been selective about her roles.
This year, she has continued to explore new characters on television. Most recently, she appeared in Good News, a new telefilm released on Global TV’s YouTube channel, in a fresh look.
The telefilm was written by Nizamuddin Rony and directed by Muhammad Mifta Anan. Saad Naovi stars opposite Aisha Khan. The cast also includes Chittralekha Guha, Naushin Islam Disha and Parvez Sumon, among others.
Aisha Khan said she chooses roles based on stories and characters that she believes will leave a lasting impression on audiences.
Good News is one such telefilm, featuring an unconventional story and characters that reflect familiar aspects of everyday life. The actress hopes the production will live up to viewers’ expectations.
Meanwhile, Jochonay Fera, starring Aisha Khan and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, surpassed 3 million views within three days of its release.
By the sixth day, its view count had reached 5 million. Irfan Sajjad and Deepa Khandakar also star in the telefilm alongside Ayesha.
Set against a family and psychological backdrop, the telefilm explores familiar tensions in the marital lives of middle- and upper-middle-class couples, focusing on misunderstandings, relationship struggles and crises of trust.
