Pakistan’s information and communication technology (ICT) export remittances reached $435 million in September 2026, marking an 18.21% increase compared with the same month last year and a 10.41% rise from August, according to the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).
In a post, PSEB said the growth reflects the expanding global presence of Pakistani technology companies and the government’s efforts to strengthen the digital economy. The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication is working to improve the sector’s access to international markets under the government’s digital development agenda.
During the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-27, Pakistan’s ICT exports totalled $1.246 billion, generating a trade surplus of $1.04 billion. The quarterly trade surplus increased by 14.98% year-on-year, highlighting the sector’s growing contribution to the country’s external earnings.
PSEB said continued support for the technology industry and stronger access to international markets could help sustain export growth and strengthen Pakistan’s position in the global digital economy.
