ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reportedly asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to leave a meeting of the party’s parliamentary party, ARY News reported citing sources.
According to sources, the meeting had begun when Governor Faisal Karim Kundi arrived. Bilawal Bhutto, upon seeing him, asked him to leave the parliamentary party meeting.
“Mr Kundi, this is a parliamentary party meeting. Please leave for now,” Bilawal was quoted as saying.
Sources said Bilawal also advised the governor to adopt a more humble tone, telling him that such arrogance was inappropriate and that the position he held had been given to him because of the party’s political compulsion.
According to sources, Bilawal was unhappy with Kundi over his harsh remarks against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and had expressed displeasure over his repeated statements perceived as threats.
Sources further said Bilawal had also objected to the governor’s aggressive stance on the possibility of imposing governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PPP chairman had reportedly conveyed a message to Kundi asking him to avoid making threatening statements on the matter.
