Apple has published estimated repair prices for the iPhone Duo, revealing that out-of-warranty fixes can be costly. Repairing the foldable’s inner display costs an estimated $999 without AppleCare+, while “other damage” can reach $1,499 — 75 % of the phone’s starting price.
Apple has published out-of-warranty repair prices for its first foldable iPhone, and fixing the device without AppleCare+ can be expensive. Replacing a damaged inner display will cost $999 — half the price of the $1,999 device itself. Other repairs can also be costly.
According to Apple's repair estimates, replacing the iPhone Duo's outer display costs $379, while repairing both the outer display and back glass costs $509. Battery service and rear camera repairs are priced at $229 each. Replacing the cover layer over the folding display costs $49. The full list of repair costs is provided below.
AppleCare+ significantly reduces these fees. With coverage, inner display repairs and other accidental damage cost $99 each, while battery service is free. The cover layer can be replaced for $19, according to Apple's published service pricing.
AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss coverage for the iPhone Duo costs $19.99 per month, $199.99 per year, or $399 as a one-time payment. Buyers of Apple's first foldable will need to weigh that expense against the potential cost of repairing its more complex components.
The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999, with preorders opening on October 16 and general availability scheduled for October 23, 2026.
