As an artist who remains at the vanguard of pop music, it should come as no surprise that Rosalía is a trendsetter when it comes to her fashion, too. Yes, she wears fresh-off-the-runway looks from the likes of Dior and Erdem, but she also acts as a champion for smaller brands, having worn everything from a latex tutu dress by Central Saint Martins graduate Yasmina Atta, to an angelic draping gown from rising New York City designer Colleen Allen.
On Saturday evening, as she took the stage to be the musical guest on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, Rosalía decided to use the opportunity to platform indie brands once again.
To start, she continued her streak of ballet-inspired fashion in a strapless dress from the Erik Charlotte Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection. The Los Angeles-based brand was founded by 25-year-old fashion designer Erik Charlotte VonSosen, whose theatrical, avant garde designs have quickly made her a star on the West Coast.
Her look for Rosalía featured a cream, bustier-style bodice with black lace, which morphed into a black tutu skirt with a white layer of tulle underneath. The Spanish singer paired the dress with a set of matching tights and pointe shoes, while managing to do her entire rendition of “Reliquia” en pointe.
Then, for her second performance, Rosalía switched into a see-through white gown from the Myat Fall 2026 collection (the London-based womenswear label that has recently caught the eye of other musicians like Slayyyter and Jorja Smith).
Rosalía’s ivory look featured puffy sleeves and a sheer body that revealed a matching white bra and boy shorts underneath. Meanwhile, the dramatic, swirling skirt billowed around her like mist, with the undulating layers of fabric enveloping the bottom half of her body like a cloud.
As Rosalía sang the final track from her Lux album, “Magnolias,” fake rain began to pour down on her, adding to the drama of it all, and ultimately making the dress even more see-through. The design may not have melted away à la Olivia Rodrigo, but it was still an unforgettable fashion moment. And when it comes to Rosalía, those moments happen regularly.
