The Cleveland Browns have begun to come back to reality in recent weeks, and the team’s star running back Quinshon Judkins could be a critical game-time decision in Week 6.
The 2026 NFL season has started out promising for the Browns after posting a 3-2 record through five games. Meanwhile, Judkins’ availability against the Baltimore Ravens is a huge question mark entering the AFC North battle.
This season, the former college football standout hasn’t exactly been the workhorse back that Cleveland saw last season. He’s failed to reach 100 rushing yards in any of his five appearances and only found the end zone once.
The injury forced the 22-year-old star to use a walking boot after the Browns’ Week 5 loss against the New York Jets. However, there’s still some hope that he can get meaningful snaps on Sunday.

Is Quinshon Judkins playing today?
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reveals that Judkins is a true game-time decision with his ankle injury. The Browns starting RB was only able to practice once this week in the build up to Cleveland’s Week 6 game.
“Browns RB Quinshon Judkins (ankle) will workout pregame to determine his status, sources say. He practiced just once this week,” Rapoport wrote on X.
Fantasy football owners that have Judkins in their squads should carefully follow the inactives report that comes out around 11:30 a.m. ET on Sunday. We’ll provide further updates as well when the RB’s status is updated.

Quinshon Judkins start-or-sit advice

The Browns’ RB situation isn’t overly concerning with depth, but Judkins is undoubtedly the number one option. His uncertainly entering Sunday’s matchup could mean more opportunities for Jaleel McLaughlin and Audric Estime.
McLaughlin would be the name to watch if the former Ohio State star cannot suit up. He’s a quality veteran that poses a dual-threat option as a runner and pass-catcher.
Meanwhile, the Browns are already without Dylan Sampson due to a right knee injury sustained back in Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sampson’s currently on Injured Reserve and isn’t eligible to return to action just yet.
The reality is no matter which RB suits up for the Browns on Sunday it’ll be a tough matchup against the 4-1 Ravens. It’s hard to justify starting any of these options unless there’s no other alternative in your lineups.
Verdict: Sit
