Leigh-Anne Pinnock is not interested in anyone’s baby-bump shaming as she shared an iconic response to the trolls online.
The Little Mix icon, 35, is currently on everyone’s minds as she stars in Celebrity Traitors. For those up to speed, you’ll know she managed to nab a shield during a dramatic cliffhanger at the end of Friday’s episode.
As the new season airs, however, Leigh-Anne has been promoting the show during her third trimester of pregnancy, which inevitably comes with a baby bump that some critics online have criticised her for ’embracing’.
She is having none of it, however, and has posted a firm response to all the haters.
In the Instagram video, she is dressed in a striped blue two-piece, with her bump proudly on display as she dances and feels her stomach. In the background, she is singing: ‘Throw your dumb opinions out the window… I don’t want know.’
And then doubled down in the caption, where she wrote: ‘Throw your dumb opinions out the window… free the bump’
The mother of twins, who is expecting her third child with her husband, had fans are backing her all the way in the comments, and wondering if the singing was a teaser for a new single.
‘We love to see x’ Laura Whitmore praised, while her Celebrity co-star Hannah Fry declared: ‘Well I think you look AMAZING!’. Maya Jama also jumped in to write: ‘Most beautiful bump!!’.
Tulisa commented a series of heart emojis while leighsfree added: ‘I’m so ready for this fiery new era’ and ‘Leigh-Anne is clapping her haters right back!!!’
The singer managed to keep her pregnancy a secret from her co-stars while filming the BBC reality series earlier this year.
In fact, banished Faithful Julie Hesmondhalgh revealed on BBC Breakfast that she was shocked to discover it afterwards.
‘Leigh-Anne’s quiet, Leigh-Anne’s gorgeous, she’s such a beautiful person. I think Leigh-Anne will come into her own actually.
‘I’m sure she was pregnant while we were doing it as well. I just couldn’t believe that when I heard afterwards. None of us knew. I mean, how she did it I have no idea,’ she said.
Adding that she thinks the star will ‘go a long way’ on the show.
