Attorney General Frank Mbeta has taken over the legal representation of Speaker of Parliament Sameer Suleman and Parliament in a court case challenging the establishment of 12 parliamentary committees to investigate alleged corruption and governance concerns in public institutions.
However, the Office of the Speaker of Parliament has told The Daily Times that it was not consulted on the issue.
