Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Wednesday inaugurated the Donyi Polo Multipurpose Hall at the Galo Heritage Centre-cum-Mopin Ground, Tarajuli, Naharlagun, and said the project celebrates the power of community participation and teamwork.

The hall was announced by Khandu in 2022, sanctioned in February 2024 and completed in February 2025, within just one year of sanction, exemplifying timely execution.
The project saw more than 430 individual contributions from members of the Galo community, demonstrating remarkable generosity and ownership. The Naharlagun Mopin Management & Promotion Committee (NMMPC), under the aegis of the Galo Welfare Society (GWS), played a key role in the collective achievement.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Khandu said, “Government support, community participation and shared responsibility, that is how we build lasting assets. I hope this becomes an inspiring example for communities across Arunachal Pradesh.”
