PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has become active after the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held in abeyance and inquiries have been launched in various projects of Sohail Afridi government, sources said.
According to sources, the records of Ali Amin Gandapur and former ministers Fazal Hakeem and Dr. Amjad have also been summoned.
“The NAB has also called the development works record of Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s tenure”.
The accountability bureau has demanded record of development works from the Civil and Works Department, sources said. “How many roads constructed during Sohail Afridi’s tenure and who were awarded the contracts”, the NAB questioned while demanding the record.
“The NAB should be provided records of all contracts awarded by the C&W department,” citing the accountability bureau sources said.
The notices have also been issued to the provincial revenue department, Registrar DHA, PDA and other concerned departments.
“After scrutiny of the assets, notices will be served to the three leaders,” according to sources.
NAB sources said that the noose will also be tightened against the officials involved in illegal recruitment and corrupt practices during the PTI’s rule.
